Today the Supreme Court of the United States ruled to legalize gay marriage in all 50 of the United States. The Christian community on social media is having a conniption fit of epic proportions. To all my fellow Jesus Freaks out there I say, calm down, tomorrow the sun will still rise in the east again. Our mission remains unchanged. In the Gospel of John, chapter three verse 18, Jesus said, “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” It appears to me that the reason anyone goes to hell is because he has not believed in the only begotten Son of God. The word believe here is translated from the Greek word pisteuo, which means to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in. So that homosexual that does not place their confidence in Jesus Christ, is in the same boat as the heterosexual who sits in the front pew of the church, who does not place his confidence in Jesus Christ. So, do what Jesus asked you to do in Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” That is our mission, calling sinners to repentance, and telling them about His grace and mercy towards all sinners, of which I am the worst……….right behind the Apostle Paul. (1 Timothy 1:15) Now go out and extend the grace and mercy of our great God to everybody who doesn’t have it!
